Dr. Saifullah Saifi is working as Research Associate at MMAJ- Academy of International Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia. He has postgraduated in Modern Indian History from Centre of Advanced Studies, Department of History, Aligarh Muslim University. The topic of his doctoral thesis is “The Khanate of Bukhara from c. 1800 to Russian Revolution”. He Knows many languages and is proficient in Arabic and Persian. He has working knowledge of Russian also.
His thrust area of research is political and cultural history of Central Asia. He has many articles to his credit published in the national journals. He worked as resource person in Centre for Distance Education, AMU for many years and prepared study materials including the material on history of west and central Asia. He has also translated a book of short stories from Urdu to Hindi which is published from Penguin publishing house, New Delhi.
Prior to joining the Academy, he was working as Lecture in Yasin Meo Degree College, Nuh, Haryana.
