This scheme is an organized group for the social service of the locality, which acquires the patronage of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. This scheme aims at making efforts to create an understanding of social issues among the students and sharing it with the people. During last ten years, the N.S.S unit of Jamia Millia Islamia has played a significant role in catering social service. Under this scheme, students organized literacy programmes for the children belonging to economically backward class and contributed with a few moments of happiness for them through group sports and cultural programmes. Every year two camps are held for the students participating in N.S.S where they are imparted with practical training of various activities. Certificates are given to them. In our school, N.S.S program Officer is Mr. Abdul Quddus Ansari .
