Press Release: An impersonator caught by vigilant Jamia staff
The admission season is on at Jamia Millia Islamia with entrance tests being held almost every day to its various programmes on offer for the new academic session starting July 2012.
Yesterday, i.e., on June 7, 2012 it came to light that one candidate, namely Mohd. Zamal, Roll. No. 52806 appeared for the entrance test for admission to Social Science Group III at centre no 6, i.e. Faculty of Humanities and Languages.
The same candidate, namely Mohd. Zamal, Roll. No. 7591 appeared for entrance test for admission to Social Science Group I on June 6, 2012 at centre no 14, i.e. Jamia Middle School.
The Dean of Faculty of Social Science checked and verified that the photographs in the original admission forms submitted by the above candidate for Social Science Group I and Social Science Group III are different, which makes it a clear case of impersonation.
The University Proctor late last evening handed over the above case to the Police for necessary action in the matter.
