Press Release: Jamia invites application under Sports category
Jamia Millia Islamia invites applications for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate courses under Sports Category from outstanding sportspersons having represented India, states, universities, and region in different games. The admissions are open in all professional & non-professional courses barring those in Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Dentistry and Centre for Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Science. At present the sports admissions are confined to the following games only:
Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Shooting (Air Pistol & Air Rifle), Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Volleyball & Weight Lifting/Power Lifting.
However, outstanding national/international level sports persons may be considered for admissions in other individual events as well. The University may also consider hostel facilities for sports-persons on priority basis at a nominal fee.
Those interested may apply on the prescribed application form which can be collected from the Office of Games & Sports, University Sports Complex on all working days from 10th May, 2012 between 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. The last date of submission of form is 20th June, 2012.
