Press Release: Jamia professor to deliver a series of talks on the North East in Germany
Prof. Sanjoy Hazarika, Director of the Centre for North East Studies at Jamia Millia Islamia has been invited to give a series of Talks in Germany and to also screen his latest film on conflicts and its impact on women in the North East.
Prof. Hazarika, who also holds the Saifuddin Kitchiew Chair, gives the first of the Talks on Monday April 16, 2012 at the Heinrich Boll Foundation Headquarters followed by a screening of his latest documentary, A Measure of Impunity: The Impact of Conflict on Women in Nagaland and Assam.
He will also make presentations at Martin Luther University at Halle, the University of Leipzig, the Society for Indo-German Cooperation at Frankfurt and at South Asia Institute, University of Heidelberg.
This is the first time that such an extensive programme on the North-East is being organized by the Boll Foundation in Germany.
