Question 1.
How can an outsider use the Central Library?
 
Answer 1.
Individuals can use library only for reference purpose with the written permission of the university librarian.
 
Question 2.
Who are authorized to use the Central Library?
 
Answer 2.
All students, faculty members and staff of the University are eligible to use the Library. Student alumni, retired staff, visiting faculties can also make use of the Central Library after seeking permission. However, for availing the borrowing facilities, users need to enroll themselves as Library members.
 
Question 3.
Can a current/bound volume of journal be issued?
 
Answer 3.
No, current/ bound volumes of journals cannot be issued.
 
Question 4.
How can I recommend a book for purchase in the Library?
 
Answer 4.
An authorized user can recommend a book for purchase by giving an application in the librarian’s office or he/she can drop the application in the suggestion box placed at the main entrance of the library.
 
Question 5.
How can I recommend subscription to a new journal in the Library
 
Answer 5.
An authorized user can send request for subscription to a new journal through Head of the Department / Director of the Center. The recommendation will be considered in view of budgetary position.
 
Question 6.
Can I bring my personal books or other reading materials to the Library?
 
Answer 6.
No. Users are not allowed to bring their personal books or other reading materials to the Main Library. They can, however, bring their personal materials to the segregated portion of the Library Reading Room / Textbook Section.
