Dr. Md. Mobashshir Husain (Khalid Mubashshir)   is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urdu, Jamia Millia Islamia New Delhi. He joined Jamia Millia Islamia New Delhi on November 15, 2012 as an Assistant Professor. His areas of specialization are Modern Poetry, Classical Poetry and Criticism. He completed his Masters, M.Phil and Ph.D degrees from the Department of Urdu, Jamia Millia Islamia New Delhi. His research topic was “URDU MEIN MUQADDAMA NIGARI KA TAHQEEQI AUR TANQEEDI MUTALA”.

A Research Project entitled WASOKHT: SINFI SHENAAKHT, SHERIAAT, REWAAYAT AUR ASARAAT was granted to him by the National Council for promotion of Urdu Language, Ministry of  Human Resource Development, Govt. of India 2017. Dr. Md. Mobashshir Husain has two important books to his credit that includes Tanz-o- Mezaah Aur Maulana Abul Kalaam Azaad and Muqaddamati Adab. He has written almost 30 research articles in different journals of repute. A Monograph entitles “Qazi Abdul Wadood” Assigned by Ghalib Institute New Delhi (Supported by Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India).

In addition to his current position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urdu, Jamia Millia Islamia, he has also been carrying multiple responsibilities including Supervisor, Monthly Student Magazine, Department of Urdu.

Dr. Md. Mobashshir Husain received a few significant awards and medals during his academic career.
