Building services program is aimed at accelerating the acquisition of knowledge & skills focused on catering to a wide spectrum of Performance Parameters related to Building Design Operation & Maintenance. The buildings are accountable for more than 50% of all the Carbon emissions and hence the understanding and application of building services for architects becomes extremely important.

The M. Arch Medical Architecture program caters to the increasing demand of the health care industry which has been experiencing metamorphic changes because of technological advancement and introduction of new medical practices. Hospitals are changing their shape, size and even functions to adopt the advancement in the medical field. The objective of the program is to impart modern concepts in planning, designing, equipping and commissioning of all such built environments which are associated with the health care industry. The program focuses on all the modern trends and future aspects of planning heath care facilities and services.

Recreational architecture is the specialized discipline of the Post-Graduate Programmes in Architecture which helps in formulating a perspective which equips the practitioner to address the growing need of the nation for state of the art and facilitative infrastructure for recreational activities.

The growth and development of the urban agglomerations as a result of the Planning Processes post- independence has resulted in the unregulated and uncontrolled expansion of the cities. The urban settlements are rendered inhabitable due to the degenerated civic conditions giving rise to congestion, pollution, poor infrastructure and transportation. The Degeneration of the urban settlements thus has to be reversed by Urban Regeneration as Policy, Mechanism and Instrument. The Post-Graduate course is formulated as a holistic trans-disciplinary program educating the Architects to enable them to prepare Urban-Regeneration Projects, formulate Guidelines, device Implementation Mechanism and create management framework.

The Governments both central and state have already initiated projects in various cities like JNNURM and various CDPs. The students after completing the course shall be able to work as the specialists in the field of Urban Regeneration for the Government bodies, UNDP, ADB projects and other agencies in India and abroad. The course is exclusive in its intent and structure and only to be offered by JMI in the country.
