Dr. Faheem Ahmed received his B.Sc. (2003) and M.Sc. degree (2007) in Physics from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. He has earned his Ph.D. in Nanotechnology in 2013 from School of Advanced Materials and Engineering, Changwon National University, South Korea. Currently, Dr. Ahmed is working as an Associate Professor of Physics at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. His research interests are in Nanostructures of various dimensions (0D, 1D, 2D) for energy storage and environmental applications. He has published more than 250 research articles in various reputed international journals including Journal of Hazardous Materials, Sensors and Actuators B, Applied Materials and Interface, RSC, Nature Scientific Reports, Acta Materialia, and numerous conference invited presentations and book chapters. The use of nanomaterials for the development of devices including Li-ion batteries, Supercapacitors, and solar cell applications are some of his significant scientific contribution which has been highly appreciated in this area, and obtained more than 10 US patents in this field.
