जामिया का तराना
दयार-ए-शौक़ मेरा, दयार-ए-शौक़ मेरा
शहर-ए-अर्ज़ू मेरा, शहर-ए-अर्ज़ू मेरा

हुए थे आ के तेरे आशियाने के दीवाने
उठे हैं तुझके जो आवाज़-ए-इस्तक़बाल
यही है शौक़ की मंज़िल, यही है राह तमन्ना
हमें है तुझ से बढ़कर जज़्बा-ए-पैग़ाम

यही तो लालन-रूहानी को ये सुकून मिला
कि दिल के दौर की हर दौलत है तेरे नाम

दयार-ए-शौक़ मेरा, शहर-ए-अर्ज़ू मेरा
यह शान-ए-जामिया की सदा है हमको प्यारा
यहां की मस्त निगाहें, यहां की शाम नई
यहां हर रुख़्सार-ए-मासूम जुदा सवेरे
यहां के जाम को लब-ए-हुस्न की तलाश

यहां के दिलों को मायूसी का हासिल है
ये बाग़-ए-दिल है, यहां की फ़िज़ाएं नई

दयार-ए-शौक़ मेरा, शहर-ए-अर्ज़ू मेरा
यहां की ख़ुशबूदार रूहें सिखें अपना जज़्बा ना
यहां पे इल्म-ए-यक़ीन चमन-ए-हयात है
मसर्रत के गीत यहां के फ़िज़ा में गूंजे
यहां के रुख़्सार मुहब्बत-निशां हैं
कानों-मन में आवाज़-ए-साहिल है

دیارِ شوق میرا، دیارِ شوق میرا
شہرِ آرزو میرا، شہرِ آرزو میرا
ہوتے تھے آ کے ہم تیرے آشیانے کے دیوانے
تیرے قدموں سے آوازِ استقبال ہے
یہی ہے شوق کی منزل، یہی ہے راہِ تمنا
ہمیں ہے تجھ سے بڑھ کر جذبۂ پیغام

یہی تو لالۂ روحانی کو یہ سکون ملا
کہ دل کے دور کی ہر دولت ہے تیرے نام
دیارِ شوق میرا، شہرِ آرزو میرا
یہ اہلِ شوق کی بستی ہے، یہاں کی شام نئی
یہاں ہر رخسارِ معصوم جدا سحرے
یہاں کے جام کو لبِ حسن کی تلاش ہے
یہاں پہ تشنگی ہی عشق کا حاصل ہے

یہ باغِ دل ہے، یہاں کی فضائیں نئی
دیارِ شوق میرا، شہرِ آرزو میرا

یہاں کی خوشبو دار روحیں سیکھیں اپنا جذبہ
یہاں پہ علم و یقین چمنِ حیات ہے
مسرت کے گیت یہاں کی فضا میں گونجیں
یہاں کے رخسار محبت نشان ہیں
کانوں میں آوازِ ساحل
دیارِ شوق میرا، شہرِ آرزو میرا

Every morning here is new
And every evening newer still
Different is this tavern
And different are its norms
Different are the dancing cups

Here drinking begets thirst anew
