Dr. Muzaffar Azim has been working at Jamia Millia Islamia for last 17 years and has been actively involved in Teaching, Research & Development activities of the Centre besides performing various technical assignments. He is the convener of the Centre’s Research Committee and is guiding Ph.D. students at the Centre. He is the Technical Coordinator for the Development and Implementation of the MIS system and has played a critical role in making the university a pioneer central university by implementing a fully integrated 18-module ERP system popularly known as Jamia-MIS, which provides transactional support to all functional requirements of the university ranging from admission of students to conduct of classes, recruitment of staff to retirement procedures, payroll etc. In the World Education Summit - 2011, the Jamia Millia Islamia got the Best Jury Award for the “Best ICT Enabled Institution of Higher Learning” for the ‘File Tracking System’ utility developed by the FTK-Centre for Information Technology. He was Co-PI of the Jamia Millia Islamia team working on “ERP Mission” Project under aegis of the National Mission of Education through Information Technology (NMEICT), Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The main objective of the Project was to create a web based open Source Educational Resource Planning Software Package to automate all functional aspects of a typical University or College in software-As-A-Service (SAAS) model. He is the Contact person for the university and assisting the Nodal Officer, JMI for the MHRD Prestigious Project for the establishment of Hot Spot/Wi-Fi Campus Connect Connectivity in 38 Central universities. He has been actively involved in Training/Technology upgradation of Faculty members/staff. He is working as the Administrator of the Turnitin - Anti Plagiarism Tool for the university. He is working as administrator of the university e-Content Management system (Knowledge Gate Server) and have been actively involved in creation of ICT mediated Teaching Learning pedagogy and content development of new and innovative courses & curricula. He is the NAAC coordinator for the Centre for the current NAAC Assessment due in March 2020. He has completed his Ph. D. on the Topic “A Framework for Securing e-Governance” in the area of e-Governance & Cloud Computing. He has published papers at the International Journals of Computer Science & Information Technology & has presented Papers /delivered invited talks at International/national workshop/conferences. Dr. Muzaffar Azim has more than 16 years working experience in Information Technology industry with expertise in Project Management as well as in Analyzing, Designing, Testing and Implementing projects. He has carried out various onsite International assignments for Japan, Singapore & Holland. He was also associated with SEI CMMI Assessment held for the POLARIS SOFTWARE LAB LTD: the First Level 5 CMMI Company in the World. He has good Communication and interpersonal skills.
