Dr Aerum Khan, MSc Botany, B.Ed, MA Education, MA Sociology, DCA, Ph.D. (Botany), Ph.D. (Education) is Associate Professor in Science Education at Dept of TT & NFE (IASE), F/o Education, JMI, New Delhi. She has done courses on Qualitative Research Methods from University of Amsterdam, Feminism and Social Justice from University of California, Santa Cruz, Introduction to Philosophy from The University of Edinburgh, Psychological First Aid from Johns Hopkins University, The Science of Well-being from Yale University, and Gender and Sexuality: Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace from University of Pittsburgh. She has worked with NCERT, New Delhi, SCERT Delhi, Department of Biosciences, JMI and Department of Botany, SNPG College, Azamgarh. She has been a Visiting Faculty for SOL-Delhi University, IGNOU (continued) and NIOS, and has been Academic Consultant for the British Council. Got published more than 70 articles, chapters and research papers in Botany and Education in National and International journals, presented papers in various Seminars and Conferences. Has been the core team member of developing and managing team of the National Repository of Open Educational Resources and ePathshala of NCERT. Was the core member of development team of NCERT for MOOCs for school education on SWAYAM. She has been the Academic Coordinator for the UGC funded project e-PG Pathshala for the subject of Education, joint venture of CIET-NCERT and University of Allahabad. She has trained more than 101,000 In-service and Pre-service Teachers and Students pan India, through Face-to-face and Videoconferencing methods, for Innovative Practices in ICT for improving teaching-learning practices and development of e-content. The first online PG MOOC in Education created by her and team has been launched by UGC on SWAYAM platform on 1 August 2017, Online Courses on SWAYAM for 11^th and 12^th classes in Chemistry are also developed by her and team. She has been the coordinator for SBA and NAS for Science at ESD-NCERT, associated with Azim Premji University, Bengaluru as well a co-faculty for 2 Refresher courses on ARPIT for AMU, Aligarh on SWAYAM. She is the Associated Editor for 2 and Reviewer for 3 Care Listed journals. She received the MHRD sponsored training for SWAYAM Course Coordinators at Chennai, jointly conducted by IIT Bombay, IIM Bangalore, NIEPA Delhi and NITTTR Chennai on the nomination of UGC. In March 2020 she was invited by IIT Madras and JNU, New Delhi to develop video lectures for UG level for National telecast through SwayamPrabha Channels of MoE-GoI. Under which 46 videos for ‘Child Development Learning and Teaching’ were created in the first phase, these are in telecast on Channel 16 of IIT Kanpur. In the second phase 33 videos of ‘Conceptual Foundations of Education’ are developed. In the third phase 28 videos of ‘Educational Technology-I’ are developed in the fourth phase, for ‘Educational Technology-II’ 23 videos were developed, and in the fifth phase which was done in collaboration with IIT Delhi 37 video lectures on ‘Gender School and Society’ got developed, all these papers are for the BEd course. She is the recipient of the ‘Inspiring Woman Awards 2021’ from ‘Fourth Screen Education’ for outstanding and remarkable services in the field of Education.
