Professor Jatin Bhatt is a distinguished Design educator and practitioner with a career spanning several decades in design consultancy, entrepreneurship, social design, and academic leadership. A 1977 Industrial Design graduate from the National Institute of Design (NID), Jatin has made significant contributions to both industry and academia. He served as the founding Chair of the Accessory Design Department at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and later as the founding Dean of the School of Design at Ambedkar University Delhi, where he superannuated as Pro Vice Chancellor in 2020.

Throughout his career, Jatin has designed a wide array of products, including consumer goods, machine tools, watches, footwear, toys, packaging, and engineering products. His work also extends to exhibitions and leading initiatives in industry clusters, such as toys, jewellery, carpets, wool, footwear, leather goods, and handicrafts. His efforts in capacity building, entrepreneurship, technology development, and artisans’ rehabilitation have made a lasting impact on these sectors.

Jatin's expertise has been sought by numerous prestigious institutions, including CLRI Chennai, Pearl Academy, CDI Kashmir, NID, NIFT, SPA New Delhi, MIT Pune, Khyati School of Design Ahmedabad, IICD Jaipur, and IIT Delhi's IIDC. He has also held prominent positions on academic councils and advisory boards, such as JK Lakshmipat University Jaipur, Alliance University Bengaluru, and Dastkar. His involvement with various organizations, including the Governing Council of Sangraha VCD Foundation Lucknow, reflects his ongoing dedication to advancing design education and practice.
