About the Workshop

About the Workshop

Nanotechnology has emerged as major thrust area of research in past few decades. It has turned into a multi-billion dollar industry and has scope to grow much further. Nanostructured materials have been fascinating the world of science and technology because of their tremendous possibilities in generating novel shapes, structures and the unusual phenomena associated with these materials.

Nanomaterials are among the most challenging areas of current scientific and technological research because of the variety of interesting changes in the optical, magnetic, electrical and catalytic properties at nano-dimension. The size induced properties of nanoparticles enable the development of new applications. The basic aim of this Lecture Workshop is to attract and enthuse students and young faculty members to the vast potential of Nanotechnology.

The following topics will be covered by eminent Scientists of the country:
  • Nanoscience and Nanotechnology;
  • Nanomaterials;
  • Nanocomposites and Core-shell Nanostructures
  • Synthesis and Characterization of Materials;
  • Advanced Materials;
  • Electrical, Magnetic, Dielectric, Optical, Adsorption and Thermoelectric Properties;
