Abdul Quaiyum Ansari received B.Sc.Engg. (Electrical) from Aligarh Muslim University, M.Tech. (Integrated Electronics and Circuits) from IIT Delhi, and Ph.D. (Hierarchical Fuzzy Control for Industrial Automation) from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He has held academic positions at the College of Computer Science, King Khalid University, KSA and at the Department of Computer Science, Jamia Hamdard (Hamdard University), New Delhi. He is presently serving as professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He has published around 100 peer-reviewed international journal articles, one book each written and edited, 18 book chapters, and about 130 peer-reviewed international conference papers. He has delivered more than 150 keynote addresses and invited talks at prestigious conferences and renowned institutes, both in India and internationally. His research interests include Computer Networks and Cyber Security, HEMT Devices, Microwave Patch Antennas, and Soft Computing. He is a Fellow and Chartered Engineer of the Institution of Engineering India (IEI) and the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), India. He is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). He is a Senior Member of IEEE and has served as the Chairman of the IEEE Delhi Section for the years 2023 and 2024. He is presently the Chair of the IEEE Delhi Section Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology (SIGHT), Vice Chair of IEEE India Council, Humanitarian Technology Activities (HTA), and Chair of the IEEE Power Engineering Society – Humanitarian Activities Committee (New Initiatives). He is an IEEE DataPort Ambassador since 2024 and is a Member of the IEEE DataPort Steering Committee. He has been identified as the IEEE Impact Creator and the IEEE PES Day’2025 Ambassador. Prof. Ansari is the recipient of the Rajarambapu Patil National Award for Promising Engineering Teacher for Creative Work Done in Technical Education awarded by the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), New Delhi. He is a person with excellent experience in Educational Policy Planning, Curriculum Development, and Human Resource Management. He is an astute performer with proven expertise in innovative teaching, quality research and academic leadership.
