Atique Akhtar Quasmi is a dedicated French and Francophone Studies scholar in his second year of doctoral studies at JNU, New Delhi. His research focuses on exploring Sufism in the selected works of Tahar Ben Jelloun. He holds an M.Phil. and M.A. in French and Francophone Studies (Literature) from JNU, where his academic work primarily centred on Maghrebian literature, with a particular emphasis on the works of Mohammed Dib. Atique has gained extensive teaching experience at several renowned institutions, including Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jamia Millia Islamia, ICFAI University Sikkim, and Amity University, Noida. In addition to his academic contributions, he has been actively involved in the External Service Division: French Unit of All India Radio, where he has recorded over ten episodes of the French version of Mann Ki Baat. His academic interests also extend to pedagogy, having presented papers and participated in various workshops and webinars. Atique specialises in literary analysis, linguistic nuances, and grammar and is committed to creating an immersive and intellectually stimulating learning environment. By providing engaging experiences and exploring foundational works, he inspires beginners to love literature while fostering critical analysis and cultural awareness among advanced learners, promoting lifelong appreciation and critical thinking skills.
