Mohammad Jawed Ahmed is currently serving as a Guest Faculty of Japanese Language at the Department of Foreign Languages, Jamia Millia Islamia, and pursuing his Ph.D. in Japanese Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). His academic focus lies in Japanese language, literature, linguistics, and translation, with a particular interest in Japanese discourse markers, Expressions and Phrases and their semantic and pragmatic functions. Over the years, He has gained extensive experience teaching JLPT N5 to N2 levels, along with Japanese grammar, literature, and cultural studies. He has also worked as a research scholar at Osaka University, Japan. With a strong foundation in the Japanese language, he has cleared both JLPT N2 and is also a qualified NET JRF and Assistant Professor.
In addition, He has had the opportunity to work as an Assistant Teacher at Jawaharlal Nehru University for three years, where he taught Japanese language courses at both beginner and intermediate levels to B.A. (Hons.) students. He also served as a remedial teacher at JNU, helping students strengthen their language skills. Furthermore, he completed a 6-month Japanese Language Teachers’ Training Course, organized by the Ministry of External Affairs of India and the Embassy of Japan, which has further enhanced his teaching capabilities. His dedication to fostering a deep understanding of the Japanese language and culture among students remains his foremost professional goal.
