MBA (Healthcare and Hospital Management)

Course Span

The maximum span of this two years of programme would be four years from the date of registration in the programme. A student to be eligible for the award of a degree has to clear all the papers offered during the two-year programme within the stipulated course span.

Eligibility for Admission

 A candidate seeking admission to the programme must have:

A Passed Bachelor’s degree examination or equivalent in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized institution.

  • Appeared in Entrance Test conducted by JMI and based on the score secured in the entrance test and fulfilling other minimum eligibility, candidates shall be called for GD/PI to be conducted by a board constituted for the purpose by the DHMHS. Normally three times the number of seats in each category shall be called for GD/PI.

 The Total Merit will have the following components:

  1. a) Written Test: 170 Marks
  2. b) Group Discussion / Personal Interview/Aptitude Assessment:30 Marks

Entrance Test Paper Details:

There shall be one objective type test paper of 170 marks comprising 170 objective type questions (MCQs) comprising the following:

  • Health, Environmental Awareness
  • English Comprehension and Verbal Ability
  • Quantitative Aptitude and Numerical Ability
  • Reasoning and Data Analysis
  • Foreign/ NRI / Sponsored candidates shall be exempted from the Entrance Test. Their admission will be based on GD followed by a personal interview.

Intake and Reservation

  1. a) Intake:The intake to the Programme of study shall be 40.
  2. b) Reservations:The reservation in admission shall be as per the rules of JMI in vogue. The candidates seeking admission under any category must fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions and qualifying requirements.
  3. c) 5 seats (out of 40 seats) would be reserved for industry-sponsored candidates.
  4. d) Separate final merit list shall be prepared for the candidates under each category.

44.e) Vacant seats reserved for category candidates, if any, may be filled up as per rules/university policy.

NOTE:

  • Foreign/NRI/Sponsored candidates shall be exempted from the entrance test.

Their admission shall be based on GD/PI

Programme Fee

The course fee for the entire programme shall be Rs.210,000/- which would be deposited yearly.

Fees for industry-sponsored candidates shall be Rs. 2,60,000/ per year.

All fees and charges are subject to JMI’s rules and policy in vogue.
