Dr. Mohd. Faijullah (FAIZULLAH) Khan is an Associate Professor (Learning Disability/Visual Impairment), in the Department of Teacher Training and Non Formal Education, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, INDIA. Dr. Khan has started his career as a Lecturer in an Institute for teacher training institute for special education and worked there for three and half years then he got selected for TGT Special  Education  Teacher  (SET)  had  the  opportunity  to  work  in  the  schools  of  Directorate  of Education Govt. of NCT of Delhi for a very brief period (6 months) and the same year he got selected to Assistant Director at CBSE, MoE, GoI as well as Assistant Professor of Special Education( Learning Disability) at Jamia Millia Islamia and again Dr khan got selected for Associate Professor (Learning Disability/Visual  Impairment)  for  an  open  position  at   the  Institute   of   Advanced  Studies   in Education (IASE), Jamia Millia Islamia.

He has a Doctor of Philosophy and a Masters’   Degree in Special Education (Learning Disability) as well as a Masters’   Degree in Applied Psychology from Jamia Millia Islamia. His research interest areas and published works include Inclusive Education –  legislations and implications, Giftedness and Twice Exceptional, Positive Psychology and Disabilities, Assistive and Instructional Technologies for Children with special needs, Caregivers’   Burden, Intervention Strategies for Children with Learning Disabilities, Behavior modification of children with specials, Teaching and Learning Styles, Special Sports and special interest in legislative provisions for persons with disabilities etc.

Besides teaching, he has 30+ research publications in reputed International Journals in the areas of inclusive education, history of special education, psychological well-being of caregivers of children with special needs, policy research and impact studies, Giftedness and Twice Exceptional and Adapted physical education and special sports. He also published books titled Caring for the Caregivers of Children  with  Special  Needs,  Assessment  of  Learning  Disabilities  &  Alternative  Intervention Strategies for CWSNs.

He has successfully completed Two major and Four minor research projects (worth of Rs.80 lacs) funded by Organizations like University Grant Commission(UGC) and National Council for the Promotion of Urdu Language(NCPUL), Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).. He has many research and academic collaborations with National Institutes such as NIEPMD and NIEPVD and DoE of Govt. of Delhi, DCPCR and Bharat Scouts and Guide etc.

on different issues of PWDs Rights, Entitlement and Concessions of Persons with Disabilities, several in-service training & sensitization programs to spread awareness about needs and rights of PWDs for Central and State Govt. officials in collaboration with RCI, UGC, Directorate of Education Govt. of NCT of Delhi, DCPCR & Bharat Scouts and Guides.

He is also an Expert Member to Development of training program for Special Teachers/ Rehabilitation Practitioners for educating and training the persons with Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder as an Expert Committee member (RCI) MoSJ&E, Govt. of India, Member of Zonal Coordination Committee-Northern Zone-III, Rehabilitation Council of India, MoSJ&E, Govt. of India and Principal Member of Artificial Limbs, Rehabilitation Appliances and Equipment for the Person with Disability Sectional Committee, Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS), MoCA&PD, Govt. of India and also been a special invitee member of Draft Constitution Committee of Madrasa Board of Andhra Pradesh under SSA-AP.

Dr. Khan has also been empanelled as Visiting Expert by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), MoE as well as Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), MoSJ&E (Thus far has done 100+ inspection Colleges/Departments of Teacher Training) for monitoring and accreditation of teacher training Colleges/Institutes. In April 2021, He had been appointed a member by NCTE to 7 members committee for inspection of Teacher Training Colleges/ Institutes of Himachal Pradesh on the direction of Honorable High Court of Himachal Pradesh. He has also been part of monitoring team of the flagship programme of Govt. of India i.e. SSA and RMSA for Bihar State in the year 2014-15.
