Prof. Iqbal H Khan, as the Founder Dean of the Faculty, directed the establishment of the departments of Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering in the Faculty. Also supervised the B.E. (Evening) degree program, for in-service professionals. From a modest beginning in 1985, the Faculty has grown exponentially. Prof. I. H. Khan has extensive experience of Teaching, Consultancy and Research in the area of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental Auditing, ISO 14001, Geotechnical Engineering, Solid and Hazardous Wastes Management. Travelled extensively in more than 40 countries of the world for various professional assignments etc. |

PROF ABDUL MUBEEN: Prof. Abdul Mubeen, Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Jabalpur University in 1964, completed his M. Tech from IIT Bombay in 1967. He obtained Ph D from IIT Kanpur in 1974. He started teaching at MACT Bhopal and also taught at IIT Bombay & Michigan Technological University USA for 3 years and finally joined Jamia Millia Islamia in 1985. He served as HOD Mechanical Engg. and also as Dean, Faculty of Engg. JMI. He started B.E Courses in the Faculty of Engg & Technology. He shouldered the responsibility of Construction of Faculty Building during VII Plan period. Prof. Mubeen conducted researches, supervised 6 Ph D theses, 40 M. Tech. Dissertations and published more than 100 papers in National and International Conferences and Journals. He authored 12 Books. He coordinated several Projects funded by MHRD and AICTE in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Above all Prof Mubeen was a Good Human being and a Good Teacher. |

Prof. Moinuddin has held positions, as a former Pro-Vice Chancellor of Delhi Technical University and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Jamia Hamdard. He has also served as Director of Dr B.R. Ambedkar NIT, Jalandhar and was the Dean of Faculty of Engg& Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia. He has expertise in Electronics & Computer Engineering, Robotics, Computer Networking, AI & Soft Computing, and has been a member of several advisory committees and expert groups for UGC, AICTE, and MHRD. He lead many new initiatives as the Dean of the Faculty at Jamia Millia Islamia. |

Prof. Mahfooz. R. Khan, a distinguished academic, had a long career at Aligarh Muslim University, which saw him rise from a lecturer (1968) to a reader (1983) and finally a professor (1988). In 1995, he joined the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia as a Professor and Head of the department. He held the position of HoD for three terms and also served as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering from 2001 to 2004 before superannuating in 2010. During his tenure Prof. Khan actively contributed in several academic and administrative activities of the university. |

Prof. Mohammad Shakeel is a distinguished academician and administrator. During his tenure as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, he played a key role in modernizing academic and administrative processes. Prof. Shakeel also served as the Officiating Vice Chancellor, JMI and made remarkable contributions in the holistic development of the University. He also served as the Head, Department of Civil Engineering and as Honorary Director, Centre for Distance and Open Learning and contributed significantly to academic innovation and institutional development. He has guided several PhD theses and M.Tech dissertations and has published a large number of papers in journals of international repute. Prof. Mini Shaji Thomas is the first lady Director of National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy) where her leadership brought in substantial development to the Institute.As the first female Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia, (JMI),Prof. Mini Thomas introduced three new B. Tech programs and 2 M Tech Programs in emerging, job-oriented fields and lead the revision the B Tech and M Tech curriculum as mandated by the National Education Policy 2020, to provide more flexibility with Minors and Honors. Prof. Mini Thomas was the Founding Director of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at JMI, started the first M Tech Program of the Faculty and established the SCADA & Substation Automation Laboratories at JMI.
