Dr Ghazala Siddiqi has done her Ph. D in Education and has contributed to Materials Development, content writing , authoring academic books and reviewing at various organizations like NCERT, Cambridge University Press, Burlington Publications, and Jamia Millia Islamia University. She is currently teaching English at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. She is associated with World Learning, School of International Training (TESOL) as their Trainer and Program Coordinator for International projects and has successfully conducted English Language Teaching Training sessions for Madrasa background teachers pan India. So far more than 1000 Madrasa teachers have been trained as trainers in the field of English Language Teaching for Classrooms and Professional knowledge for Teachers. She has coordinated international projects with teachers from Afghanistan in collaboration with the expert faculty from World Learning. She has taught ESL at the primary, secondary, and university level and has led many professional development and training programs for teachers in government , public schools and colleges. She has also authored academic books for Cambridge University Press. Her books include English Literature Readers and Teachers Handbooks for Teaching. She is also associated with IDP Australia/British council and is a freelance teacher trainer for Materials Development, Communication skills, Classroom Management and Creative writing. Some of her translation works include stories of Munshi Premchand from Hindi to English and Shamim Hanif’s essay on Criticism from Urdu to English besides a collection of his ghazals.
