I wrote my P.hd thesis from the Centre for Historical Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi in 2001. Prior to joining the Centre for Jawaharlal Studies, I worked at the Selected Works of Jawaharlal Nehru, a multi –volume documentation series which publishes the correspondences, speeches and writings of Jawaharlal Nehru in chronological order. The work primarily focuses on research, an organization of the documents in book form, editing, translation and annotation. I have worked on over twenty- volumes of the Selected Works of Jawaharlal Nehru, having worked with Prof. Ravinder Kumar, A.K.Damodaran, H.Y.Sharda Prasad, Prof. Mushirul Hasan and Prof. Mridula and Aditya Mukherjee and Prof. Madhavan Palat. I teach courses in Development Studies and supervise the research work for the M.Phil and P.hd students at CJNS. I have also offered courses for Under- graduate students under the Credit Base Choice System. My research interest lies in areas of regional history and issues of identity.
