DrSaifullahSaifi is working as Research Associate at MMAJ - Academy of International Studies, JamiaMilliaIslamia, New Delhi. He has postgraduated in Modern Indian History from the Advanced Studies Department of History, Aligarh Muslim University. The topic of his doctoral thesis is "The Khanate of Bukhara from c. 1800 to Russian Revolution". He knows many languages and is proficient in Arabic and Persian. He has working knowledge of Russian also. His thrust area of research is political and cultural history of Central Asia. He has many articles to his credit published in the national journals. He worked as resource person in Centre for Distance Education, AMU Aligarh for many years and prepared study materials including the material on history of West and Central Asia. He has also prepared study material for Maulana Azad National Urdu University Hyderabad. He has translated a book of short stories from Urdu to Hindi which is published from Penguin Publishing House, New Delhi. Prior to joining the Academy he was working as Lecturer in YasinMeo Degree College, Nuh, Haryana.
