Madiha Rahman is a Delhi based conservation architect and educator. She has been teaching architecture since 2015, after having completed her Masters in Architectural Conservation from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.
Having been involved in the education field since her masters, she is someone who believes and utilizes a very interactive approach to teach the art of architecture. Adept with developing comprehensive lesson plans, working directly with students on improving their knowledge base and creating unique projects that allow students to showcase their skills. Firmly believes in indulging students in creative practices, to help them emerge as innovative architects. She has been associated in teaching studio and theory subjects both at bachelors and masters level in the Department of Architecture, JMI
Her areas of research include heritage and its interpretation, architectural conservation and history of architecture. She is currently pursuing Ph.D from Department of Architecture, Jamia Millia Islamia. Her focus research area is the colonial heritage on the banks of river Hooghly in West Bengal.
