Dr. Farhan Ahmad Kidwai has an overall experience of over 29 years in teaching various courses at UG and PG level related to Transportation Engineering. He is also actively involved in Traffic Studies, preparation of traffic impact report including traffic projects and Transportation Planning etc. Having finished his M.Tech in Transportation Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, 1990 he joined the Department of Civil Engineering of Jamia Millia Islamia (Central Government University), New Delhi he served for more than 2 decades in various capacities from Lecturer to Professor. He also finished the Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 1998 under Quality Improvement Programme with study leave from Jamia Millia Islamia. During his tenure at Jamia Millia Islamia University, he also worked on various projects like An operational traffic improvement plan for University Campus, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India. On the request of Vice Chancellor, Traffic study for Pandan Indah Municipal Area, Ampang, Selangor, Through University of Malaya Consultancy Unit, Design of Rigid Pavement for Noida, Sector-122 etc. He also worked as visiting faculty in the Department of Civil Engineering University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia for 3 years. He has worked on many consultancy projects sponsored by various ministries, Central and state Govt. agencies and public sector organizations. Recently he has worked on Consultancy project for the formulation of Master plan of Indian National Expressway, sponsored by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Planning and Design & Engineering and Construction Supervision & Quality Assurance including Human Resources for 2 BRTS Corridors in Visakhapatnam, sponsored by Greater Vishakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, Under Ministry of Urban Development. Dr. Kidwai has a large number of publications to his credit.
