Publication Ethics

The JMI–IJES is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics to ensure the integrity, quality, and credibility of the research it publishes. Authors, reviewers, and editors are responsible for adhering to ethical guidelines at every stage of the publication process.

Responsibilities of Authors

  • Authors must submit manuscripts that are original, unpublished, and not under review by any other journal.
  • Plagiarism in any form including self-plagiarism, data fabrication, image manipulation, or unauthorized use of content is strictly prohibited.
  • All sources and references used in the research must be properly acknowledged and cited.
  • Any potential conflicts of interest must be fully disclosed.
  • Authors are required to present accurate data and must be willing to provide supporting materials when requested.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Reviewers must assess manuscripts objectively, fairly, and with strict confidentiality.
  • Reviewers should immediately notify the editor if they detect ethical issues such as plagiarism, data manipulation, or duplicate submission.
  • Reviewers should not accept a manuscript if they have any conflict of interest that could affect their ability to review it fairly.

Responsibilities of Editors

  • Editors are responsible for maintaining a review process that is transparent, impartial, and timely.
  • Manuscripts will be evaluated solely on their academic quality, relevance, originality, and clarity.
  • If ethical misconduct is identified, editors will follow the appropriate procedures, which may include rejecting the manuscript, issuing a retraction, or notifying the author’s institution.

Ethical Compliance

  • The journal does not allow any form of plagiarism and uses reliable tools to check all submissions.
  • If an ethical issue arises, the journal will use fair and consistent procedures to investigate and address the problem.
  • Authors are required to submit a Certificate of Originality and a Copyright Transfer Agreement once their paper is accepted.
